The 39th Annual Bluegrass and Country Music Festival, hosted by the Virginia Bluegrass and Country Music Foundation, will be held on Friday and Saturday in Lawrenceville at George Winn Memorial Park, located at the corner of Rose Drive and Mallard Crossing Road near the airport.
The two day event will feature performances by the Rappahannock Bluegrass Band, The Country Seat Band, Natural Blue, The Watts Brothers, Frankie and Robert Slavey and Friends and George Winn and the Blueegrass Partners.
Camping will be available throughout the weekend. Campsites with hookups will cost $9 per day and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Camping in the “rough” area, with no hookups, will be free of charge.
This year, the grounds will offer a new bathhouse with bathrooms and showers for campers’ and guests’ convenience.
The event is rain or shine. Should inclement weather arise, the grounds also feature a pavilion shelter.
Concessions will be available through out the weekend.
