Chase City News Progress

On Monday, Sgt. Andy Ramsey responded to a residence in the 170 block of Smith Creek Drive in the Boydton area for a reported break-in. Arriving at the home, Sgt. Ramsey spoke with the victim who reported that sometime between Christmas and January 2, someone had broken into their home and made off with assorted jewelry items. Upon investigation, Sgt. Ramsey determined that entry into the home was gained through a forced door.

Also on Monday, Deputy Davis Cumbia was dispatched to a home, also on Smith Creek Drive for another reported break-in. Arriving at the residence in the 390 block, Deputy Cumbia was told by the victim that the break-in took place that afternoon or evening. Entry into the residence was made through forcing a door and once inside, the suspect made off with assorted jewelry.

{Editor's Note: Both homes are in the Friendly Acres subdivision on Lake Gaston.]
