While the final results aren't expected until January, the Lake Gaston Association's annual "Full Lake Weed Survey" has concluded that very little Hydrilla was found but Lyngbya continues to be prominent in many locations. Lots of Water Willow was also reported.

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of a disturbance that ended with three people being assaulted [in the River Ridge subdivision]. On Friday, Deputy Josh Carroll, Sgt. Baird and Cpl. Thomas with the MCSO were called to a possible disturbance at a home in the 200 block of Looking Glass Trail in Bracey.
