No sign of boater who disappeared fishing near Gaston Dam

Authorities are looking for a missing boater after his boat ran into a concrete pilling near the Gaston Dam in Halifax County. State Wildlife Resources Commission Sgt. Glen Hatcher told the Daily Herald of Roanoke Rapids that searchers aren't sure if 31-year-old John Sutton was still in his boat or had already fallen out when it struck the piling early Saturday morning.
