There are a number of Farmer's Markets in the Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston area. We have tried to list as many as possible below. Note that the operating hours, opening and closing dates and availability will vary from market to market. Most markets operate from mid-to-late April through October. You may want to contact the market before you go.

Roanoke Valley Farmers Market

Open:Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm from May through November
The market features vendors of many kinds, from fruit and vegetable farmers, to crafts, baked goods, live plants, cut flowers, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, eggs, soap, and candles. Additional vendors are welcome, though all vendors must be approved prior to selling at the market. All produce must be locally grown, with at least 50% grown by the vendor himself or herself.
